When thinking about sheer and organza fabrics – I don’t normally think romance. I conjure huge ball gowns with bows and nightmarish designs one would never want to wear in public. This dress, however, knocks those thoughts completely out of mind. A single star rests upon the satin ribbon belt, giving the ethereal touch to an already romantic dress.
When I look at my closet – and my shopping habits, dresses make up the larger majority of my wardrobe. I often buy them with the idea of “I’ll find a reason to wear it” and I always do. Date nights, exploring the city, plans on a whim – you name it and I’m sporting something fancy. The softness of the icy blue hue of this dress transitions into fall while still dreaming of summer nights. I absolutely love that a) it’s a wrap dress b) comes with overstated ruffles and c) moves with the lightness of the wind. Organza usually makes me think stiff and starchy – but this dress couldn’t be more airy and whimsical.
